Applique - NY-LON: Concorde at 50

Hand Painted Egyptian Cotton background with silk, linen and cotton applied.

The design for this piece was inspired by the 50th anniversary in 2019 of the first flight of Concorde. The tail fin was carefully hand painted with the old BA logo. It was part of a triptych design - although I only stitched one! There are various fabrics in the machine embroidered piece to the bottom, including an offcut from a dress made by my mother-in-law for my niece.
