Create a beautiful embroidered box, reminiscent of the beautiful boxes seen in the patisseries of Paris, containing all sorts of delicate treats.

 

The outside of the box is covered in an Eau de Nil coloured cotton, with embroidered monogram on the lid (you will be able to choose your letter) and Appliqued Nottingham lace around the top edge.

 

The inside of the box is covered in a macaron print fabric, hinting at what you might find inside.

 

The techniques include: Trailing, Feathered Chain Stitch, how to accurately measure and cut card for box making, two methods for covering card, using curved needles and how to stitch together your box pieces.

 

The kit includes: All the fabric you will need to cover the box, a skein of DMC Blanc and ball of Blanc Perle 12, Nottingham lace, Sewing thread for construction, mount board, an A4 cutting mat, craft knife,  steel ruler and set square, a reel of double sided sticky tape, pencil, pins, wool felt for padding, a water soluble pen for transferring your monogram letter and full written instructions.

 

Stitchers will also need: A 6”/15cm embroidery hoop, embroidery scissors, scissors or cutting wheel suitable for cutting fabric and scissors suitable for cutting paper.
